TOPIC: Adelaide based 4wd tracks?

Adelaide based 4wd tracks? 3 years ago #2825697

Hi all im a Feroza owner who is keen to get out there but i am unsure of any tracks i can do close to the adelaide area.

Does anyone on this site know of any?

Ive done some mild mods to my feroza.
keen to get out there and get it dirty.

Ive been to Morgan, Goolwa beach,Saunders gorge, went to pt gawler and got in trouble (its a protected reserve and the fine can be up to $600).

just want somewhere to go on the weekend about 1hour away to muck around.

humble beginings

Hallet Cove Mines (illegal)

Get some bolt choppers...

Cox Scrub (Mostly illegal)

Deep Creek Conso (Easy)

Fisheries, Cape Jervice ( ETSA land and illegal)

Mt Crawford Conso (mostly illegal)

Best places are Morgan, Robe and Loveday (Bamera).

the morgan quarry is brilliant, good fun wet and dry. I've heard rumors of spots around Old Reynella, where that paintball place used to be on main south road. haven't had a chance to check it out myself yet, but have found some vids on youtube so something defs goes down there somewhere. been tempted to do halletts but not too keen on getting busted ay. silver sands down at aldinga is an awesome beach, don't need a fourby to go on it but good fun all the same. i believe there's a beach access at goolwa too, but haven't sussed it myself. there's a tiny little track on oakridge rd in aberfoyle park, not worth going out of your way for but a good bit of fun if you happen to be driving past. it's up the top of the road, near where it hits main road. whereabouts in adelaide are you?

I found footage of people going offroad on youtube in Reynella too when i looked for it. The Hallet Cove tracks run into the back of reynella, into the quarry to its north. i reckon i could see the expressway in the background too. Where it would be in old reynella i have no idea. Old reynella is pretty built up. if you find out, let me know

I'm in aberfoyle park. There's a track on 4x4 earth (cheers to kickinback for the link) on the northern side of belair national park, I plan to give it a suss fairly soon and I'll stick some pics up after. That was pretty much it in the metro region tho from memory.

Here are a few places to investigate

Mt Crawford. This is the best bet. There is free camping a ranger and some commercial pine forrests here

Pirra Wirra. NFI
www.nearmap.com/?q=@-34.675782,138.84015...t=h&nmd=20101007

Kaitpo Forrest. Basically just dird roads
www.nearmap.com/?q=Kaitpo%20Forrest@-35....t=k&nmd=20110303

There is a paintball place near here. There is a couple of tracks of interest here. The one to the north is is very muddy in winter and i have never dared go down it alone. It looks like it goes to the nowhere, but u might be able to get through.

Belair. FIRE TRAILS. One small sector.
